The FirCaster is made from one slab of old growth, reclaimed Douglas Fir. No central glue joint, just one solid piece of wood. Each body has been sound chambered to lighten the guitar, with optional F-holes. The guitars are built with either single or double binding, but can be left unbound upon request. I use a nitro finish, with a thin finish applied to the neck to retain a smooth, wooden feel.
